On June 1, the Children`s Festival was held in the park of the Heydar Aliyev Center.

Attendance of the event, held with organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Center, supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Education, the Narimanov District Executive Authority and the Regional Development Public Association, was free. Inhabitants of children homes and students of boarding schools also attended the Festival.

The festival, arranged on the occasion of 1st June – the Children’s International Protection Day, aimed at, along with creating for the little a festive mood, also drawing attention of the society to bringing them up as happy and healthy children, ensuring their education, and formation them as worthy citizens.

Various entertainment and enlightening programmes were presented at the Festival. Every child had a chance to choose an entertainment type according to their interest, and demonstrate their talent. The park’s territory was divided by different themes and types of entertainment. So, mini tournaments, competitions and interactive games were arranged for sport-lovers, creating an opportunity to partake in chess matches and meet Olympic champions.

On the ground allocated for Nasraddin Tusi Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory, interesting facts were presented about the cosmos, and planets. Children who showed interest towards high technology gained a chance to become familiar with the process of making drones at interactive lessons. On the archaeological ground, children who were interested in this sphere had an opportunity to discover various archaeological find models, having carried out a symbolical search. And in a mini farm, they were created possibilities to have intercourse with animals.

As part of the festival, the Automobile Federation of Azerbaijan arranged for children trainings on traffic rules. The art zone, book-lovers area, dance grounds, boat races, concert programmes and other entertainments made children experience moments that would turn into beautiful memories. Winners and participants of the competitions were presented various gifts.

Thus, the park before the Heydar Aliyev Center was given at the disposal of children during the day both as a place of entertainment and creativity, making them experience unforgettable festive joy.
