A ceremony to seal postage stamps dedicated to the 74th edition of the International Astronautical Congress has been held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku.
The postage stamps, issued by Azerpost LLC with a circulation of 5,000 copies, were sealed by Azercosmos Chairman of Board Samaddin Asadov and President of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) Clay Mowry.
Following the ceremony, Azercosmos Chairman of the Board, the IAF President and IAF Executive Director Christian Feichtinger viewed the samples of postage stamps of Azerbaijan.
As organizer of the annual International Astronautical Congress (IAC) – world’s premier global space event – and other thematic events, the IAF actively encourages the development of astronautics for peaceful purposes and supports the dissemination of scientific and technical information related to space. Azerbaijan has been a member of the International Astronautical Federation since 2003.
