The 4th National and 2nd International Pediatrics Congress, organized by the Azerbaijan Pediatric Society, has kicked in Baku.
The participants observed a minute of silence to commemorate the cherished memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Azerbaijani martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the country’s territorial integrity.
The event featured the screening of a video highlighting the National Leader’s comprehensive care for children’s health and future.
Addressing the event, Ali Guliyev, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Pediatric Society, briefed the participants on the yearlong activity of the organization, adding that this annual event, gathering local and foreign specialists, contributes significantly to the development of pediatrics.
Other speakers included Rashad Mahmudov, Deputy Chairman of the Healthcare Committee of Milli Majlis; Tural Aliyev, head of the NGO affairs sector at the Department for Work with NGOs and Communication of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan; Ramig Guliyev, head of Health Policy Department at the Ministry of Health; and Araz Nasirov, Deputy Executive Director of the Administration of the Regional Medical Divisions (TABİB).
The two-day event will focus on the pressing issues in pediatric science, featuring panel discussions and lectures.
