The “Second breath” exhibition, jointly organized by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture, the "Cultural Network House" (CNH) Public Association and the Museum of Modern Art, opened at the Museum of Modern Art in Baku.
Officials, renowned culture and art figures, as well as representatives of diplomatic corps attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
Addressing the event, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture Anar Karimov highlighted the importance of the exhibition for the Azerbaijani art, and the significance of the exhibited works here. The minister noted that all the works on display are considered valuable art pieces that are included in the fund of the Azerbaijan State Art Gallery.
Minister Anar Karimov emphasized that the Azerbaijan State Art Gallery was established thanks to the attention and care of a great patron of Azerbaijani culture and national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Noting that the exhibition will last for a month, Anar Karimov said that the event is also of great importance in terms of conveying Azerbaijan’s rich school of painting to the younger generations.
The visitors then familiarized themselves with the works showcased at the exhibition.
The exhibition will run until November 6.
