“Our goal is to ensure electoral transparency at the snap presidential election in Azerbaijan. Our principles remain unchanged. Thus far, no complaints have been received regarding the election process. We hope for peace and stability in the region in the near future. The normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia is inevitable and beneficial for all,” said CIS Secretary-General Sergey Lebedev during his meeting with Mazahir Panahov, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan.
The CIS Secretary-General emphasized the importance of reaching an agreement and achieving peace for the well-being and development of the people.
"We will fulfill our responsibilities as observers. Our team consists of more than 160 observers who are specialists in their respective tasks," he added.
