A presentation of the documentary “Heritage Keeper,” specially produced in the Azerbaijani language by the China Radio and Television Center of China Media Group, was held in Baku on August 14.
The event featured remarks by Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei; Azerbaijani MP and Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Culture Gunay Afandiyeva; Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting CJSC Tural Babayev (AzTV); ARB24 Executive Director Radik Ismayilov; and Wang Lu, Director of the China Radio and Television Center of China Media Group.
In their remarks, the speakers highlighted the rapid development of China-Azerbaijan relations, marked by an increase in high-level reciprocal visits, stronger political trust, growing trade, and tangible achievements under the Belt and Road Initiative.
They also noted the growing momentum in people-to-people exchanges in culture, education, media, tourism, science and technology, youth affairs, and interregional cooperation. These expanding humanitarian ties are creating new opportunities for bilateral relations and further strengthening their social foundation.
It was highlighted that, amid this atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding, the documentary “Heritage Keeper” was specially produced in Azerbaijani by the China Radio and Television Center of China Media Group. Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting CJSC and ARB24 TV also promptly mobilized their resources and actively supported the film’s broadcast in Azerbaijan.
The successful screening of the film in Azerbaijan marks a new stage in China-Azerbaijan media cooperation, while helping Azerbaijani audiences gain a better understanding of China’s cultural heritage and governance philosophy.
The China Radio and Television Center will also offer Azerbaijani media a series of high-quality programs, serving as a bridge for Azerbaijani audiences to explore modern China and experience the unique appeal of traditional Chinese culture. This will contribute to stronger humanitarian exchanges and greater mutual understanding between the two peoples.
